Thankful.

Every year at this time, Canadians have a designated day to count their blessings. Here are just a few of mine:

- I have been married to a wonderful, loving, and unusual man for more than eleven years, and he loves me for who I am, failings and all.

- I have a job that allows me to work with fantastic kids and amazing teachers at one of the best high schools in the country.

- I have two fabulous sisters who I love and miss more than I'll usually admit out loud, and a niece who is squeezably cute.

- I'm curled up in bed right now with a husband, two cats, and a puppy. It's my family and it works.

Life is not always perfect, but for the most part, it's pretty darn good.
