Word count: Zero.
'Twas one of those days a supply teacher dreads: the day that just kept going wrong. Between technology issues that lasted two periods, a nearly-unmanageable class of "young" grade nines (that I saw three times), and the remnants of a hurricane bearing down on my barometer of a head, I pretty much crawled into bed the moment I got home. Hubby took Piper to the "Barkatorium", and I slept for four hours. Have I mentioned how much I love Hubby?I almost fainted in a classroom today. That scared me. It also scared the students I was talking with at the time. I don't like scaring students. It was at the end of class, when my students had left and the next ones were just coming in. I was just gathering my things and stood up at the desk, and the room tilted and it felt like my head just drained of all weight, and next thing I knew I was grabbing onto the edge of the desk and thumping back down into the chair. It just came out of nowhere.
It must have been the migraine. Only thing I can figure. Yes, I am a fainter (just ask anyone who was there my first day of junior high -- gack!), but usually it's something that comes on gradually; I can spot it before it hits. And it's usually only if I'm very hot, or extremely stressed, or sick. Never suddenly because of a headache. Good thing I had a CAT-scan done recently (all was normal), or I'd be freaking. (Both sides of the family have a history of fatal aneurysms.)
Enough about my noggin!
I know what I'm going to write. Well, not so much what I'm going to write, but the style/format it's going to be written in. I've been mulling it over since I got up from my long nap, and I'm quite excited about it. I will begin writing tomorrow, and it will be awesome!
In the meantime, I think maybe I'll go back to bed. Nighters!
