Remember the paint?

Well, I was afraid to show you what happened when I opened it.

I tried painting an actual folk-arty thing, but the paint wasn't as opaque as I'd hoped, and my yellow sun turned out green on top of the blue sky. So that little canvas board is still sitting on my dresser.

At that point, I decided I wanted to try playing with the glaze stuff (don't you love my technical terms?), and this is what I wound up with.

Don't feel bad -- I don't know what it is either. I think there might be a swan hiding in there. I'm not sure. But I like it.

So today I scanned it so that I'd have it on the computer in case I figured out what I wanted to do with it, and that way I'd have the original background recorded for the sake of posterity.

And since it was already in the computer graphics program, well, of course I had to play! But the first thing I tried was a mandala, and I didn't like the way it turned out. (It somehow magnified the close comparison between some of this mish-mash and mud.)

I'm sure I'll find a use for it at some point, but I figured if I didn't show you, it would be out of cowardice and not just the usual laziness and procrastination. *grin*
