We're Number One! We're Number One!

I can't tell you how excited this makes me. I was pretty much shrieking into the phone last night at my sister Krista (the Die-Hard Halifax Mooseheads Fan -- see them in third? *snicker*).

For all three years that the Saint John Sea Dogs have been in existence, my husband and I have had season tickets in the same seats. It hasn't been easy, let me tell you. The first year, when they didn't make the play-offs (because they were dead-last in the division), I said, "Well, it's their first year -- give them some time to grow." Then last year when they didn't make the play-offs (because they were dead-last in the division), I said, "Well, there's always next year."

And what a year this has been! I am so proud of our team. They really seem to have gelled this year, working together, and we've got several stellar players (instead of just one or two), with the rest of the team well above average. It's awesome!
