It's Play-Off Season!

Just woke up and I'm still chuckling. I dreamt about hockey last night. I knew I was excited that our team made the play-offs this year, but this is ridiculous. *grin*

Tonight our team plays its first ever play-off game, the first in a best-of-seven series against the PEI Rocket. Two games here (tonight and tomorrow), then two games in PEI, and then back here if necessary.

The dream was pretty straightforward. I know three of the players off the ice, and I was simply chatting with them at one of their billet homes about how excited they were to be in the play-offs, and how excited I was for them.

And I am very excited for them. These guys have a lot on their plates. Away from home, trying to juggle school, practice, games, community relations ... I've personally seen how exhausting it can be. When you add in the fact that these guys are essentially just kids, aged 16 to 20, you can't help but root for them.
