An Open Letter to the Saint John Sea Dogs

They all said that next year was going to be your year. Well, personally, I thought this year was pretty darn good. Making the semi-finals in the team's third year is absolutely amazing.

Last night's loss to the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies was heartbreaking, to be sure, but what a game. Right up to the last second, it could have gone either way. You came so close to sending it into overtime that I was literally holding my breath for the last minute of the game.

If your playoff season had to end, it couldn't have ended in any better way. You fought each and every second of the game, and no fan could have asked for more from you.

To Travis Fullerton, Alexandre Picard-Hooper and Scott Howes: You brought so much talent to this team and gave this fan a hoarse voice from cheering on more than one occasion. The very best of luck in whatever your futures hold.

To the rest of the team, on-ice and off: It has been one heck of a year! I can't wait until the first puck drops in September! Enjoy your summer!

Thank you all so much for a fantastic year!

GO DOGS GO!
