Time to shop for school supplies!

My classes start on Monday and I’m getting pretty excited. I’m still a little afraid of the stats course, but let’s face it — I’m 20 years older than I was the last time I attempted a stats course, and I’m a LOT more focused. I need to get the job done.

The other course, Intro to Space Studies, is a whole lot less scary. By the sounds of things, it’s going to feel more like a sociology/history course than a hard-core science course. In other words, I’ll be using the part of my brain that’s already a finely-tuned machine.

Life will be quite hectic from Monday until my substitute-teaching dries up in early June, as my university classes run from 4:30 to 7:00 PM Monday through Thursday. I’ll have just enough time to go from the school where I teach to the school where I learn. One more reason to be glad I have a car now.

Perhaps, since I didn’t get called in today, I’ll take a trip up to the university and pick up the stats textbook now, to make sure I have it. In past years, I’ve taken courses where there weren’t enough books in stock on Day One, and besides … Taking a look at what I’m going to be learning will lessen my fear of the unknown. :)
