I can still remember August of 1976, when I was terrified to go to school for the first time. I anxiously asked every adult who would listen, “Will I like school?”
And I did like school, after I got past the first week when I came home crying every day. They eventually got me to admit the problem: I didn’t know how to use the pencil sharpener.
More than thirty years later, I’m lying in bed with the same sense of anxiety. Will I like these courses? Will I do as well as I hope (and need) to do?
At least one problem has been taken care of.
I have four brand new mechanical pencils.
