Such a keener.

My classes don't actually start until Monday, but since the prof posted the notes on the website and I already had the textbook, I decided to head up to the library. Might as well get into the habit now.

If I've learned anything in the twenty years since my first university class, it's that I don't do work at home. I may want to. I may try to. But, without fail, I don't do it. I get distracted, or need a nap, or someone wants attention, or whatever. Given that these stats notes are a challenge to begin with (that part of my brain has nearly shriveled up and died), I figured the library was my best option.

Reading through the class notes that we have to bring with us on Monday, I was a bit discouraged at first. I was really having a hard time taking it in and processing it. But then I remembered that I always do better when someone explains something to me, and we haven't even had a class yet! I'm sure I'll be fine.

I'd forgotten how much great stuff the library has. After I got tired of the stats notes (read through them twice), I wandered through the periodicals section and took a look at the various literary magazines there. Then I read the newspaper.

This is going to be really good for me, I think.
