And now it’s summer.

One thing about the area I live in is that spring is sometimes very short. On the calendar, it’s three months long, but in reality it’s more like three weeks. Yesterday we hit 30.2 degrees Celsius, a temperature normally reserved for late July, and it was incredibly humid to boot.

Once upon a time, MRA’s (a local store of legendary proportions: think Macy’s) had stationery emblazoned with “Saint John, NB — the Naturally Air-Conditioned City!”, thanks to the fog that rolled in every so often and kept the temperature within reason.

Sadly, the days of MRA’s and our cool summer nights seem to both be nothing more than fond memories now.

It rained overnight, for which I am eternally grateful, and it’s much cooler outside now. I have a lot to do today, a lot of it leftover from yesterday’s “To-Do” List. (Yesterday even just thinking was a monumental effort, because I was so hot.)
