Geocaching in the Rain!

Well, since I knew that this weekend was going to be a wash-out, weather-wise (besides plain old rain, Tropical Storm Kyle is actually going to make landfall here in the next 48 hours), I decided we'd better cache before it got too bad!

Piper and I headed out at 7:30 AM and went to It Comes from Below. I had been here earlier in the week, with my dad, but because there were children hanging around, we decided not to look too hard in case they decided to steal it after we left. (Dad was disappointed, so I took him to Jenny's Spring, which I'd found the day before, just so that he could see a "real live geocache" in situ.)

After having success at our first quest of the day, Piper and I headed out to Fernhill Cemetery for the Father of Confederation - Tilley virtual cache (a nice easy one, and an educational one, too!), and then, because it was still early and we were feeling pumped, we headed uptown to look for our first nano (a really, really tiny cache), Nano Jack. Well, the rain was picking up and the muggles (non-geocaching types) were starting to come out, so we headed for home. I'll try that one again when I'm free to poke around in vegetation without too many witnesses. *grin*

As the old song goes, "two out of three ain't bad."
