We got our first real snowfall of the year overnight.
It's melting as I type, but it was still enough that we (by which I mean Hubby) had to shovel the driveway. It was also enough to make a certain household pet go absolutely bonkers. (I think Piper thought it had gone away and would never come back. If only! :))
I'm not a fan of snow, I'm afraid. After those first magical moments of watching the world turn white, I'm over it. By the time I'm brushing off my car, I'm audibly loathing it. I've already begun my countdown to Spring over there in the left sidebar.
Snow isn't all bad, but it's hard to appreciate it when it has to be cleared, causes driving woes, and makes boots necessary.
Hubby has the right idea. It should only land where it's not in the way, so we can admire it for is beauty and not curse it for its inconvenience.
I'm sure that this is only the beginning.

Okay, so it's kind of pretty, but ...

Okay... so you took a nice picture and I happen to agree... the FIRST snowfall is great... but it quickly goes downhill, after that!
LOL
BTW, I had never heard that way of thinking (re: your DH and snow) and you know what? it makes perfectly good sense!!!
LOL
Tks for the chuckle!

I was THRILLED to wake up this morning to the light dusting of snow that we got, it's supposed to snow on and off for the rest of the week and I am hoping for those big puffy snowflakes to get some decent macro shots!
This is the first year in a LONG time that I've not had to work, and yes, the snow is so much more enjoyable when you don't have to drive in it!
I agree Karen. The first few minutes are beautiful and then the thoughts of shovelling and scraping and salting start creeping in - and the countdown til its over begins!!
