One of my passions is digital scrapbooking, and when I heard that Do It Digi, a digi-scrap website I visit, was having their own version of The Amazing Race, I was in!
Since, like the reality show, we were allowed to choose a partner to form a team, I picked the one who is always beside me as I scrap -- my dog, Pepsi! I decided to take inspiration for the content from the Amazing Race website and go from there. (If you click on the picture, it will take you to a larger version where you should be able to read the text.)
Each leg lasts a week, and there are two challenges per leg. (I guess there will be roadblocks, detours, et cetera, later on.) Anyway, the first challenge was to do a layout introducing our team, while using at least two papers and four elements from a mini-kit we were given.
When I do digital-scrapbooking, I always strive to make it look as "real" as possible, as if I had assembled photos, papers and embellishments by hand, rather than by manipulating pixels with my mouse. I'm pretty pleased with how this lay-out turned out! (The picture was taken in the driveway this morning!)
If you want to see the other entries, and keep up with the race, you can go to the Do It Digi "The Amazing Race" Gallery. (I don't think you need to join in order to view, just to comment.)
Now I should probably eat some lunch!
