Magic moments.

It's snowing. I have to go out, so I thought I would peek around my blind and see how much snow I have to clean off my car.

The sun is just coming up, so everything is a little bit dim, and the snow is falling ever-so-gently. It's early, so there is only one single set of car tracks marring the snow. And as I glanced down at my car, four white-tailed deer trotted past it, down the centre of the street. Just beyond my car, they paused and sniffed the air, as if they knew I was watching. Then they continued on before turning into a neighbour's driveway and presumably heading back to the woods.

And I'm sitting here with a smile on my face. I really hate winter, but sometimes it brings such beautiful, unexpected gifts.
