So, I finally got back to work today. The first day of second semester is always a little hectic, and a great deal chaotic, as we wrap up Semester One before launching into Semester Two. Twenty-five minutes classes -- ready, set, GO! But the kids were pretty good and there were few problems, so we'll call it a resounding success.
My class at Michaels tonight was cancelled, mainly because as of 6:30 PM last night, no one had signed up. In many ways, I was relieved, especially after I got absolutely drenched walking to the parking lot after school. No way did I want to go back out in that! Apparently it was +7 degrees C, but between having the water whipped at you by the wind and then walking in wet clothing, it was not pleasant! To make matters worse, my car fogged up on the way home, including the rear view mirror. That was a first for me. Oh well. At least the rain will eat a lot of the snow, and we might be able to get up our driveway again before March.
I'm reading a Social Studies text book -- in French. Luckily it has a lot of pictures! :)
It just occurred to me that the day after tomorrow is Friday. That means I only have one more day of "grown-up shoes" this week! YAY!
My life is just so gosh-darn exciting. Try to contain your envy.
Later, gators. I'm reading about the L'Empire byzantin, and the pictures are pretty.

I was out a bit last night during a break in the rain, and it was lovely. The wind was whipping around, but the air was warmish. I love that kind of weather. :)
