Wow! According to the counter on the blog, we crossed a thousand hits this morning! We should have a party! Okay, you sit in front of your computer with your favourite food and drink, and I'll gather up the deep dish pizza and Diet Pepsi on my end, and we'll celebrate together!
Out of curiosity ... why is it that when I have a five-day weekend (thanks to high school exams and turn-around days) that everything I need to do gets left until Day Five? I never seem to get things done without being up against a deadline. Even then, I'm much more productive after the deadline passes.
Also typical -- I have a tendency to get sick when I have to go back to work, instead of being sick when there is no work to be had. Why is that?
And, since we're probing the mysteries of the universe, why is it that I'm still dreaming about Joe and Vernice's house once or twice a week a year and a half after Vernice passed away? (And, nearly fifteen years after Joe passed?) It's getting a little old, but at least I've reached the point that, in the dreams themselves, I know it's not real. It really cuts down on the sense of loss when I wake up.In other news ... I have finally found an ice cream that is too rich for me to polish off the little 500 ml container in one go. My hubby didn't think it was possible, but Häagen-Dazs' Sticky Toffee Pudding Ice Cream is too sweet for me. It's good, but I can only take so much of it. I wonder if the fact that there are 1200 calories in the container has anything to do with it. (That doesn't mean I don't still want said ice cream. I'm such an addict, and ice cream is my crack.)
And that was the Stream of Consciousness News for Tuesday, January 29th. I'm KJ McLean.
