Well-used, but not used-up.

It does what I need it to do.

Hubby brought me home a used laptop from the store, one that was left behind by someone who decided it would be easier to get something new and improved than to try to fix it.

The USB port doesn't work, the CD-ROM drive is skeptical, it's kind of pokey and it's got a 4 GB hard drive. But all the keys work, and the screen stays on, the wireless works, and I'm blogging on it right now. YAY!

I've got my class projects all packed and ready to go, and I'm pretty pleased with them. If I get a chance later, I'll take a picture so you can see. They're pretty basic, but I'm not familiar with the name of my student (yes, just one, unfortunately), so I don't know how much stamping experience she may have.

Tomorrow I finally get to work. It's a date that was booked before the holidays, and I'm so happy to be going in. There's no school on Friday, so that will be it for the week, I guess. Next week is exams, so I probably won't see much work then, either. This isn't good. I should probably be looking at opening up an EI claim, but I'm not convinced just yet. (I really hate the process and will put it off until the summer if I can.)

Well, I should go hop in the shower, and, if I have time, take the pupster up to the park for a bit. She's been pretty good today, so I feel a little guilty. I should let her work some steam off.

More later ...
