Classic Canadian Compromise

Geometrics or flowers ... that was what I was mulling over last night as I drifted off to sleep. When I woke up this morning, the answer was immediately obvious. Why not do both?

Tulips are one of my favourite flowers. Joe and Vernice had them planted alongside their house, and the tulip was the first flower I could name by sight. It's a pretty simple outline (I made a template using Photoshop Elements and then traced it), so I shouldn't have any trouble hooking it and getting it to look like what it is.

Incidentally, I'm pretty sure my friend Jeanine (who comes from the Land of Tulips) will get a kick out of this rug design as well.

I can't wait to start hooking!
