Fresh start.

Well, I'm feeling much better this morning, and for those of you who might be wondering what the final straw that made me go ballistic last night was, it was the death of my three-week-old Palm T|X. The touchscreen had completely disoriented itself, and no amount of calibration was going to help. In fact, we'd try to calibrate it and it acted like we totally missed the targets, and would just keep showing them over and over. Eventually it would get bored with that and randomly light up the Home button.

Nothing can infuriate me like malfunctioning technology. Nothing. I handed it over to Hubby, saying, "Please take this before it becomes a missile." He spent literally hours trying to bring it around, being on hold, and repeating to Palm's "help" desk, "Yes, I have tried to calibrate it. Would you like me to try it again?" in the most reasonable voice I have ever heard.

My knight in shining armour was valiantly trying to rescue his damsel in distress. It was his way of saying, "I know today has been really awful. Let me see if I can do something to help at least part of it." I love that man.

My friends are pretty darn awesome too. Between cheering me on in Facebook chat, sending me "I am loved" graphics to make me chuckle in email, and tutoring me via blog comments, my friends are looking out for me.

Between Hubby's explanation last night right before light's out, and SC's comment that helped me fill in the blanks (and there were many, most of them in between my ears), I understand that Stats formula now, and the world can continue rotating on its axis.

If only my sole portable scientific calculator hadn't be on my Palm ...
