They said it couldn't happen.

My sister, Ferne, and her greyhound, Rigby, joined Piper and me up at the Bark Park yesterday. It was great to be there with them. Ferne has been away at school in Ontario forever, and is just home long enough to say hello before heading to another part of "Upper Canada" for her summer placement. We hadn't had our "children" on a playdate before, so it was great fun!

Rigby kind of did his own thing, which involved a lot of sniffing around, and then he decided to chase Piper as she chased the ball. (This confused her immensely -- she kept nervously looking over her shoulder at the great big "stalker" trotting behind her!)

Just for the heck of it, I decided to just keep on throwing the ball to see if the Energizer Puppy would eventually tucker out.

And finally she did.
I didn't think it was possible. But after Toss #86 (or thereabouts), about halfway back to where Ferne and I were sitting (and eating yummy fresh baked goods, I might add), Piper just kind of flopped. At one point she sort of rolled over on her side, gnawing away on the ball, but then sat back up in case she missed something.

The lolling tongue cracks me up. She reminds me of Gene Simmons. Heck, she's even got the black and white face to go with it!
