Yes, I'm still alive!

... or "Where I've Been and What I've Been Doing."Spiderweb

I can't believe it's been more than three weeks since I posted here.  This place must look completely neglected.  This picture I took on a foggy day last week at a local cemetery seems appropriate! :)

This month has just flown by.  I can't believe that the teachers go back to school next week.  (This is one more nice thing about being a substitute teacher -- I go back when the kids go back.)

In the past three weeks, I've:

-Columbia replica gone on an overnight trip to Prince Edward Island, where I found some geocaches, visited some highland games, searched for my ancestors and stumbled across a 1:1 scale replica of the Space Shuttle Columbia.

- had my bathroom completely ripped out and replaced (and there was much rejoicing!)

- went to the first  Sea Dogs game of the year.  (It was an exhibition game.)

- saw a UFO (as in Unidentified Flying Object, not necessarily an alien spacecraft).

2010-08-25-heart-rockThere have been other things as well, but those are the highlights.

In other news, it looks like I'll be teaching a non-credit course in creative writing at our local university.  I am really excited about this!  Will share more details when I have them, but I can't wait to get started!

In the meantime, I'll be wandering my favourite rocky beach, scribbling down impressions, doing some thought-wrestling, chasing down geocaches, rughooking, and singing like a madwoman in my brand-new shower.

It's a good life. :)

First - didn't realize that I could go view pictures of your old and now new bathroom! *grin*

Tub - yup, I agree with what you told me 'bout it, this afternoon!

Bathroom floor - used to look like LOVELY quilting, to me! LOL

Tks for sharing...

Your blog, as usual, is a pleasure to read!
