... or "Where I've Been and What I've Been Doing."
I can't believe it's been more than three weeks since I posted here. This place must look completely neglected. This picture I took on a foggy day last week at a local cemetery seems appropriate! :)
This month has just flown by. I can't believe that the teachers go back to school next week. (This is one more nice thing about being a substitute teacher -- I go back when the kids go back.)
In the past three weeks, I've:
- gone on an overnight trip to Prince Edward Island, where I found some geocaches, visited some highland games, searched for my ancestors and stumbled across a 1:1 scale replica of the Space Shuttle Columbia.
- had my bathroom completely ripped out and replaced (and there was much rejoicing!)
- went to the first Sea Dogs game of the year. (It was an exhibition game.)
- saw a UFO (as in Unidentified Flying Object, not necessarily an alien spacecraft).
There have been other things as well, but those are the highlights.
In other news, it looks like I'll be teaching a non-credit course in creative writing at our local university. I am really excited about this! Will share more details when I have them, but I can't wait to get started!
In the meantime, I'll be wandering my favourite rocky beach, scribbling down impressions, doing some thought-wrestling, chasing down geocaches, rughooking, and singing like a madwoman in my brand-new shower.
It's a good life. :)
